- Mallory T.
Thank you for EVERYTHING you and your office have done for our family. You most definitely became family to us. At times of uncertainty, pain, and all the scares you were a rock for Josh and I. I can't even begin to put into words how many times you put us at ease, made us smile when we wanted to cry. And you gave me the strength and encouragement that I needed to pull through. And for the first time in my life I can honestly say...and mean "I love seeing my doctor," and that's because you are much more. You have an amazing staff and gift of bringing little miracles to people.
Thank You for Everything!
- Holli B.
I just wanted to thank you for being such an awesome doctor, and finally getting me the help I needed. I really appreciate everything that you have done to make sure that I had the care that I needed. You were very compassionate towards me, and the first doctor I have seen in the past year that gave me what I needed, and actually cared about me as a person. Thank you so much!
- Sara G.
I just wanted to drop you a line and thank you for making me feel so comfortable in your office. I have never been seen in a doctor's office where everyone goes the extra mile to add a personal touch for their patients. I really appreciate how your staff are always friendly and help me to relax.
- Melissa L.
Dr. Russell, Jen, and Laura:
Just wanted to take a moment to send our heartfelt thanks for being so wonderful to us during my pregnancy. I could always count on coming to your office and feeling the peace and presence of God in spite of some of the difficulties we faced. Thank you again for being who you are. We are grateful to know you!
- Rachel P.
Dr. Russell and Jennifer:
I just want to take a moment to write to you both and thank you for being so nice and kind to me. This has been a REALLY tough year for me. I have had a lot of health issues. Jennifer, you were so nice to me and my husband when we called to see if we could get in to see Dr. Russell. I had already been to two doctors and the last doctor sent us to you, that was such a blessing! Even though you didn't know what was wrong with me, you showed us compassion and not only that, I wasn't even one of your patients and you called me the next day to see how I was doing. You went above and beyond and I really appreciate it. Thank you for helping me get my life back, and thanks for listening!!

Dr. Scott Russell, MD
I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, and attended Washington University in St. Louis. After graduating, I returned to Ohio and attended the Medical College of Ohio, graduating in 1994. Then I completed my internship and residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in Washington State. During my time in the military, I served in various positions, including Chief of Gynecology, at Womack Army Medical Center.
In 2002, I left the U.S. Army and entered private practice in Colorado Springs, working with Advanced Gynecology, but quickly missing working in Obstetrics. I moved to Kansas City, in 2004, to be near my wife's family, during this time I worked in a large group practice. These were good years, but I didn't feel that large group practices served patients well. So, I returned to Colorado Springs (the town I love) to start my private practice with my wife.
Jennifer and I have been married for 19 years and have 2 wonderful children.
I have specific interests aside from general obstetrics and gynecology. I've been an instructor and preceptor for the total laparoscopic hysterectomy technique. In addition, I have extensive experience in the management of pelvic organ prolapse and stress urinary incontinence, as well as the diagnosis and management of chronic pelvic pain.
I'm a member in good standing of The American Board of Ob/Gyn, a fellow of The American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology, a member of Christian Medical and Dental Society, The Association of Pro Life Ob/Gyns, The International Pelvic Pain Society, and The El Paso County Medical Society.
Tauni Ryan, Nurse Practitioner
Hi, I'm Tauni Ryan. Caring for women has been my focus and desire since first becoming a registered nurse in 1986. I went on to receive my Bachelors of Science Degree in 1994 and eventually a Master of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Hawaii in 1997, where I graduated with top honors.
As a military wife and daughter, I have been fortunate to live in many places and experience many cultures, which I believe has enhanced my ability as a health care professional in relating to individual needs. As a mother of two daughters ages 20 and 22 and a full time caregiver to my elderly mother, age 80, I believe I can relate to women and their health issues throughout the life span (adolescence, young adult, adult and geriatric).
I am passionate about comprehensive health care and therefore focus on the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of my patients. My first experience as a nurse practitioner was at the Waianae Comprehensive Medical Center where I cared for high risk populations on the Leeward Coast of Hawaii. This was a very rewarding experience which proved to be invaluable when I moved to Colorado and worked for the El Paso County Health Department Women's Clinic and Infectious Disease Clinic. I worked with Dr. Russell for two years at a GYN practice in town until he moved to Kansas, and I was thrilled to join him again in his new practice. I care for a wide range of patients including pre and post natal care, family planning, nutritional counseling, routine and complex gyn issues and peri/post menopausal concerns.
Jennifer Russell, Practice Manager
Hi, I'm Jennifer Russell, and I am the practice manager. I have worked at Front Range ObGyn for over two years. I love being here because I love the women that come through our doors. Working in the medical field, not to mention an ob-gyn office, I share very personal moments with our patients. We have laughed together, and cried together. I have never worked with my husband before, aside from home improvement projects, and I have to confess that I love it. We enjoy working in tandem and I think we make a good team.....just don't ask my teenagers. I have so much confidence in his knowledge and skills; he is constantly reading, studying and endeavoring to be better. I'll be the first to tell you, he is not perfect, but he's as excellent as they come.
