A video taken by Ridgefield, Connecticut couple David and Elena Barnes, shows the family snorkeling with sharks. The outrage from YouTube viewers is because the couple allowed their five-year-old daughter, Anaia, to swim with the sharks. This happened at Power Boat Adventures in the Bahamas. The sharks had been previously fed by employees according to the beginning of the video. There were many kinds of sharks from nurse sharks to lemon and Caribbean reef sharks.

Mom, Elena, stated in an interview on Good Morning America that they are not bad parents. "At no point did I feel that this was dangerous. It's like going on a rollercoaster. You're probably not gonna fall off, but it's still scary... life's too short to be boring."

Dad, David, "There's just always risk assessments in life every day. I'm more concerned that they don't put seatbelts in school buses."

Many people across the internet are claiming these parents are bad and judged them for putting their child in danger. Others are saying the girl was never in danger and good job to the parents for letting their daughter have a unique experience. No matter what anyone else says, little Anaia said it was lots of fun!
