After the infamous couch jumping episode on Oprah who would have guessed that this wouldn't last? Divorce is horrible for anyone including celebrities. According to The Huffington Post Holmes is the one who filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences," and is asking for sole legal and primary residential custody of Suri. Their sources add that Cruise apparently did not see the divorce coming."

This raises a few questions. Is it a bad thing when celebrities publicize their blissfull marriage the way these two did? Does it then become the public's right to be interested in the demise of the relationship?
