An expanded set of sex education standards has passed the House and will now go to the Senate. All Democrats voted for the change and all Republicans voted against the new bill. The curriculum includes tips for how to have fun learning about condoms and using jelly or syrup as a lubricant. Many of the Democrats argued that an abstinence-only approach is not working and there needs to be change. However, the Republicans said that most parents want their children taught abstinence. The new bill will be "sensitive to gay issues" and requires that students be automatically enrolled, unless parents object.

Do you think sex-ed should be more in-depth? Should students be required to take sex-ed?
