Oh, the things we parents do for our kids.
I used to love roller coasters and crazy rides at amusement parks when I was a kid and now I can't stand them. I can't tell you the exact age that I made the switch. I think maybe it was when I became a parent for the first time because I unconsciously, but very obviously, scaled back my risk taking. Regardless, that hasn't stopped me from being taken, somewhat against my will, on a scary ride with my boys. There's not a thing that I wouldn't do for my kids, especially if it makes them happy.
Here we have a big, strong dad who accompanies his little daughter on an amusement park ride. She is having a blast while dad, well, let's just say he's not enjoying it... at all. Pay special attention to what happens when the ride stops. Poor dad tries to act like he didn't mind it when asked to ride again. You've got to love this guy's attitude despite the fact that he's obviously scared to death!
Warning: I do believe there is a bit of bad language flying out of dad's mouth.
If you were terrified of a ride, would you ride it anyway just to make your child happy?
