Caleb and Katie Medley were in the theater where the horriffic shooting happened in Aurora, Colorado on Friday night. Caleb is in critical condition and Katie gave birth to their baby boy on Tuesday. Baby, Hugo Jackson, and his mother are both doing great. Can you imagine the bittersweet moment Katie had when seeing Hugo for the first time? Their story is heartbreaking.

The Medley family is appealing to the public for donations for the family. Caleb and Katie have no insurance. Michael West, a family friend, started a website to help raise money for the young couple. They are hoping to raise $2 million, which will cover the medical bills for Caleb.

"We've talked about it, because we know he can hear us. He needs to get better, because he needs to be a dad. God. Jesus," West said.

Caleb's brother, Seth said that even though he is under heavy sedation he has been communicating with them.

"He will close his hands. He will squeeze, and he has given a thumbs-up," says Seth. "He's gonna fight through this so that he can be with his newborn son as much as possible."
