Okay, usually as soon as the topic of tweens and teens dating comes up (and by tweens I mean mostly 12-year-olds but then I know I'm old fashioned and don't have any of my own yet), so does lecturing, teen pregnancy, STDs and a whole host of limitations.

Setting all that aside, however, remember the innocent days of 'who's going with whom?', group dates, and wondering if Joey likes you back? Dating and relationships are, after all, a normal part of growing up and while some kids display risky and non age-appropriate behavior, most kids are just learning about themselves and about how relationships work - and having innocent fun.

I've heard of rules ranging from 'not 'till their 18 no matter what' to 'they're going to do it anyway, why make them be sneaky?' Most opinions I've heard don't see anything wrong with 14-year-olds dating, especially in groups, and parents agree that dating is a normal part of growing up and that 14 is a 'typical' age to experience a first kiss.

What are the dating ground rules at your house? Do you allow your kids to date? At what age? Group dates only or are solo dates allowed?
