Open everyday year round. Rates are $15 per car and then $3 per person to visit the cave dwellings. The Cliff dwellings are a great glimpse into the lives of the Native Americans who lived there for 700 years between 600-1300 A.D.

Open Tuesday-Friday 9am-3pm and Saturdays 10am-4. It is at the entrance to Cheyenne Canyon and hosts a number of informational events including birdwatching!

This wonderful museum hosts a number of creatures preserved for you and your little ones to look at and learn about including butterflies, scorpions, and more! Adults (13-60) $6 Children (6-12) $3

Take a trip to a nostalgic drive in movie theater where double features are played on three screens! Take your pick of double feature and pack up the car for a night of fun! $7.50/person 12 and Under are free.

Wander in wonder at 30+ Full size skeletons and restorations of dinosaurs! Open Monday through Saturday 9am-6pm, and Sunday 10am-5pm. Adults are $11.50 and kids $7.50.

6. Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument, (719) 748-3253, Florissant, CO

Daily fossil demonstrations and the kids can become a junior ranger too! Cost is only $3 park fee to see history actually frozen in time as fossils.

7. Paintmines Interpretive Park, (719) 520-6375, SE of Calhan on Paintmine Road

Hike through this wonder of nature where the natural colored clays were once used by Native Americans!!

Come and see the gators in our own backyard! Open 9am-7pm Memorial day through Labor day and 9am-5pm Labor day through Memorial day. Adults $15 and Children (6-15) $7.50.

Pick your own Apples, Berries and More! Open Wednesday - Sunday 9am-4:30pm.

10. Serenity Springs Wildlife Center, (719) 347-9200, Calhan, CO

Come Marvel at the Big Cats up close and personal! May 29 - September 5: 9am, 11am and 3pm. September 11 - May 22: 11am and 1pm. Cost is $10 per person!
