About the Jeff Schmidt Team
Jeff Schmidt opened the agency doors May 1, 2011 and hit the ground running. Jeff grew up in North Central Kansas and graduated from Fort Hays State University in 2004. He moved to Colorado Springs after graduation and has been a local business owner ever since. Jeff and his wife Lindsay have 2 kids, and love enjoying the outdoors of Colorado, Sky Sox games, and road trips back to Kansas.
Amy Slattery has been in the field of insurance for over 7 years. She and her husband are both natives of Colorado Springs and with an almost 2 year old, and another one on the way they keep busy. Amy participates in several community fundraising events including March of Dimes, Relay for Life, Harvest of Love, Toys for Tots, and Care and Share food drives. They enjoy camping, sporting events, and taking lots of mini-road trips around beautiful Colorado.
Lauri Armstrong is also a Colorado Springs native who graduated from Colorado College in 2004 and received her Master's degree from UCCS in 2009. After 6 years at CC in Alumni, Development and Student Affairs, she headed to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and managed their social media marketing and special events. Lauri and her husband welcomed a brand new baby girl to the family in June 2011. They are busy being new parents, but love being outside with their dogs, and spending time with their large extended family.
Lindsay Schmidt grew up in Colorado Springs and met Jeff at Fort Hays State University where she received her undergraduate degree in 2004. She started her own photography business, Forever Mine Photography, in 2008 and continues to manage her business, along with being a State Farm team member.
Fun Facts about our team: Amy, Lauri and Lindsay grew up together and all went to Wasson High School with each other! All of the husbands play softball together with Jeff. We are a pretty close "family"!
