Mom on the Move

Meet Lacey Nixon. Mother of three!

What are three words to describe your typical day as a mom?
1. Busy
2. Challenging
3. Loving

What is your biggest mom challenge?
My biggest mom challenge would be trying to teach my children.
I try to teach them colors and shapes and how to talk and use the potty.
It is hard when they are all so close in age. Oh and I gotta say,
Changing diapers is a constant challenge as well as keeping them all happy.

What is the best thing about being a mom?
The best thing about being a mom is loving and laughing and cuddling
with my kids and hearing them say I Love You.
I love that little look that they have no matter if they are doing good or bad,
I LOVE their little smirks and just holding them and holding their hands
when we walk through the store or reading them a book at bedtime. It is so AMAZING!

We all have shortcuts or clever things that we have come up with on our own. Share a quick tip with us.
Never use A & D ointment on a diaper rash, it can sometimes burn and blister.
I use Corn Starch on diaper rash because it heals the rash faster and safer without the sting.

What is your favorite children’s book?
I would have to say, my favorite Children's Book is "Love You Forever" by Robert Munsch. I love that book because, In kindergarten when I was a child, Our teacher had read it to us and it has always stuck with me and I feel as if it has really impacted my life and somehow made me a better mother. It was the very first book I have ever read to any of my kids and I will continue to read it to them as long as I can.

What is your favorite book for a mom?
My favorite book that I would actually recommend to another
mom is "See Mom Run" by Beth Feldman. It is super funny and makes
any mom happy when they are having a hectic day!

What is your most embarrasing mom moment?
Well.... I have had MANY embarrassing moments. Before I had a baby, My most embarrassing moment was when i was in highschool and i was trying to flirt with a boy that i had this HUGE crush on and I fell UP the stairs. LOL. My most embarrassing moment since having my babies would have to be, when I was breastfeeding and didn't realize i was dripping milk through my shirt while I was walking through Walmart and people everywhere were just staring at me. UGH!!! It was so so so embarrassing.
